The wireless receiver is also super tiny and I have perfect reception up to about 25 feet away. I can't speak much to battery life since I've only owned it about a month but I expect it won't be a problem. All buttons are also programmable with a simple control panel. It was super easy to setup on both my Mac and Windows 7 (via bootcamp). I also like the simple button placement of the Back and Forward buttons. This mouse is solid, has a good weight to it, is symmetrical (for both leftys and rightys) and has crisp, tight buttons. Do not believe the ads, that hyper-scrolling wheel is crap! It keeps spinning after your scroll with your finger! If you opt for the 'bumpy' scrolling instead of the smooth, it still feels cheap and was impossible for me to use. This is one of the best Cordless Laser Mouse I have ever used! I tried using the MX620 and M500, both with the so-called "hyper" scrolling wheel.
